Important Communication Update- 23rd March 2020
Dear Parents and/or Carers,
We would like to thank you for all your ongoing support to both our staff and students in these difficult circumstances.
On the 22nd March, the Premier of Victoria released a statement that school holidays will be brought forward in Victoria, starting Tuesday 24th March. Given that students will commence holidays tomorrow, there will be no additional work sent home this week. Social distancing should be adhered to during this extended holiday period (based on the Premier’s press conference this morning).
These holidays are not for playdates, shopping trips, family outings etc.
Staff will continue to work through until Friday 27th March, this will involve working both onsite and offsite, planning for potential remote learning in term 2. This is in line with social distancing regulations. All medications should be collected from the school by Wednesday 3.30pm.
We would like to cater for families working in essential services by providing the opportunity for this small number of children to be supervised up until and including Thursday. This will be offered only to families who have both parents/carers required to work in an essential service. Advanced notice is required to enable satisfactory supervision requirements – please contact the office on 9702 8398 to make arrangements.
At this stage, Term 2 begins for students on Wednesday 15th April 2020, unless advised otherwise. If transition to remote learning is required, all families will be notified by email, Facebook and SMS. It is imperative that the school has up to date mobile phone numbers and email addresses for all families. Please contact the office before 3.30pm Wednesday to ensure your details are correct.
We will communicate any further information via the Coral Park Primary School Facebook page an email and SMS directly to families.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding at this time. It is fantastic to have a school community that supports each other during these challenging times.
